[Characterization of the dpt.]

The department guarantees teaching of courses in the field of regional affairs and public administration according to the studentīs specialisation. The block of courses is designed for prospective employees of public administration institutions and local government. The department is involved in full-time, part-time and distance baccalaureate /bc./ study programs at the Faculty of Economics.

The department guarantees teaching of management courses within the framework of the university - level certificate programme "Psychology in Organisation Management". Members of the department are also involved in research and counselling, they publish the results of their work in renowned journals and actively participate in both Czech and foreign professional societies.

KPR/OSOB  Psychology of Personality
The concept of personality, interrelationships between personality, psychology and other fields, the functional system, practical application of personality psychology, the development of personality psychology, research strategy and methodology, the biological foundation of personality, integration of the personality, personality theory.

KPR/POVJ  The Psychology of Business Dealings and Relationships
The development of mental strength in the individual and subjective conditions involved in the creative process. The source of creativity, "ACIZ" and "TRIZ" methods. Japanese methods "K - J" and "N - M." Chain association, Brainstorming methods and practice. Classical synectics. Bionics. Societal pressure on the development of mental power. Mental for individual and teamwork. Psycho-social games and their practice - their application in teamwork and in the creative process. The process of innovation and quality within the framework of the development of world technology. Self-improvement as an integral technique for the creative character of the personality.

KPR/PSM  Personnel Management
Introduction to personnel management, the planning of human resources, analysing work activities, principles of working with employees, control of work procedures, education + raising the level of expertise + involvement within business and institution.

KPR/PSYCH  Psychology in the Practice of Economics
Product quality as a comprehensive phenomenon. Technical and technological parameters. Organisational and human resource management. Analysis of workerīs attitudes towards company and work necessary for high product quality. Product quality and its dependence on comprehensive structural organisation. Interpersonal relationships between colleagues and superiors. Motivation and motivational factors inherent in wage systems. Support for workers who achieve maximum product quality. Comprehensive TQM + the exposure of non-efficiency within management. Education of technical staff with emphasis on economic, technical and human factors. Human factors as the essential ingredient in TQM. (Experiences from Europe, Japan + USA). University education aimed at expandin human potential for technical staff.

KPR/TVOR  Creativity and Team Co-operation
Psychological pre-requisites for the expansion of creative thinking. The stimulation of original thought. Intuition and personal qualities that predispose to creative work. Creativity practice in co-operative teamwork. Individual hypotheses and their development.

The origin and development of psychology, basic trends in psychology, basic information and the psychology of learning. Mental processes, mental states, psychology of the individual - structure and dynamics. Brief outline of the uses of knowledge gained from psychology from the personal and professional perspective.

KPR/USOC  Introduction to sociology
The concept of sociology. The origin and development of sociology. Basic paradigms of sociology. Methods and techniques of sociological research. Societal groups. The social structure of society. Social roles. The interrelationship between man, nature and society according to sociological theory.

KPR/VEDLO  Organizational Leadership
Recognition of regular patterns in the formation and activity of the human psyche. The development of psychology as a science. The application of psychology in the field of technical and technological development. The human factor and social relationships in the process of activity. Attitude and acceptance by individuals and groups of innovation + modernization of work processes. Postgraduate education for technical staff + the application of psychology in the field of management.

KPR/ZZK  Final Examination for the Certificate in Programming
Selected chapters and examples from mathematics and basic statistics designed to facilitate the comprehension of lectures on economic subjects.
