KSO/OV1 Operational Research
Operational analysis, the nature of the field, development, classification of methods
- linear programming - the simplex method. The duality of tasks in LP, postoptimalization
analysis, methods of distribution: transport, linkage - problems of combination:
the problem of traffic calculation - methods of computer analysis, CPM - time, resource,
expenditure analysis PERT - probability analysis.
KSO/PMO Probability Models
The pre-diploma assignment is meant to give the students an opportunity where the diploma
thesis will be carried out to wok out a preliminary analysis of a given problem + to suggest
an approach to solving it. More detailed instructions will be given to the student´s diploma
advisor, who is normally authorized to award credit at the completion of the pre-diploma
assignment.
KSO/SA1 Statistical Analysis 1
Estimating and testing hypotheses: robust, non-parametric, sequential methods.
Regression: optimalization of estimates, intervals of dependence: tests, diagnostics.
Multilinearity, models of generality, planned transformation. Robust, non-linear, ortogonal,
logistic regression.
KSO/SPS Seminar in Statistics
The working out of a given comprehensive problem with
concrete data, using methods learned in course SA1 or SA2
KSO/STA1 Statistics 1
1. The character of data expressed numerically and by graph.
2. Basics of using number probability, random quantities.
3. regressive and correlative analysis.
4. Introduction to the theory of time sequence and prediction.
KSO/STA2 Statistics 2
A good department provides the student with detailed information about the knowledge
required to pass the State Examinations. This State Examination is usually combined
with the defence of the student´s diploma thesis.
KSO/SZSM State examination
Students gain detailed knowledge of the functions of the QUATTRO PRO 3.0 calculator
with special financial functions, and how to use it in their own economic applications.
Using practical examples, students learn to make their own tables of economic indicators
by means of graphs. - Basic concepts and their interconnection - present and future values,
percentage returns, rates of internal interest, period interest - explanation of activities,
entry and departure parameters, use of financial functions for the computation of present
values, future values, gain percentages, internal interest rates - Comparison and choice
of the best opportunities for investment using tables and graphs. Production and
presentation of specific applications: cash flow, line credit, leasing, loans,
write-offs, stock market indicators. - Principles of presentation.
KSO/ZES Principles of Economic Statistics
The construction of indicators and their systems. Indexes and their use - statistics for
production, business and services. Statistics for income and expenditure for the general
public, prices, employment, foreign business, measurement of GDP, book-keeping, research
and analysis of one-time opportunities. General statistics.
